Bug Type:  Error of Omission

An August 23 NY Post editorial lambasts NYC Council members as well as mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio for siding against Mayor Bloomberg and in favor of keeping a closer eye on the NYPD and its notorious stop-and-frisk program. As Media Matters for America notes, “in its zeal to defend the stop-and-frisk program, the Post forgot to mention a recent decision by District Court Judge Shira Scheindlin which found the New York Police Department's implementation of stop-and-frisk unconstitutional and ordered an independent monitor to oversee the NYPD going forward.”

Hopefully this report will remind the Post to correct its oversight and better inform its readers.
