the translation to spanish says "velocidad de la luz", the quoted source (NASA) really says "speed of sound".

Thanks, Pedro. We have emailed an editor at Yahoo News to see about getting this corrected.
At some point after this bug was reported Yahoo corrected the error; the phrase in question has been changed to "la velocidad del sonido" from "la velocidad de la luz."
However, there is no correction notice or any other indication on the story that it has been changed.
(As of today we have not received a response from Yahoo about the error report.)
Oddly, this Yahoo News story has since reverted back to the erroneous text. Details, and much more about the process of trying to get this mediabug fixed, on our blog today:

Yahoo News has fixed the story and posted a correction notice at the bottom of it. Why the erroneous text was changed several times — see my blog post linked above — remains unclear. We have not heard further from Yahoo News since this Twitter message yesterday:
