Bug Type: Simple Factual Error
Story indicates that Zeferino won the election, when in fact he is the outgoing Gov. and the new Gov. is Angel Aguirre Rivero. A pretty serious "mix up" of facts.

We've emailed Fox News Latino about this via the "Contact Us" link in the website's footer (editorial@foxnewslatino.com). We've also alerted them on Twitter:
http://twitter.com/#!/media_bugs/status/57889332643635200
We received an email from Carolyn Salazar, a reporter/producer at Fox News Latino, stating that they have fixed the error on their site and noting that it was in a wire story they had run from Efe News Service.
While the text has since been fixed, Fox News Latino has not posted a correction notice on the story. (The story originally stated: "Zeferino Torreblanca was sworn in last Friday as the new governor of Guerrero, taking over from fellow Party of the Democratic Revolution, or PRD, member Angel Aguirre Rivero.")
Should news websites be responsible for posting correction notices on erroneous wire stories they've run? We see this as an open question, and it's one that we've encountered before, with the Associated Press. (In which case we pursued it with the AP for reasons discussed herein. For more on how this played out, also see this blog post.)
We’ve asked Salazar by email about protocol on this issue at Fox News Latino, and whether they plan to post a correction notice on the story. (Efe is based in Spain, which puts it beyond MediaBugs' purview.)
Looks like they left a small 'tag' at the bottom of the article.
Good job on getting it corrected!
Yes- Fox News Latino has since posted a correction notice at the end of the story:
"Due to a wire service error, a prior version of this story misstated the names of the incoming and outgoing governors of Guerrero, Mexico."
