About MediaBugs

MediaBugs is a project that aims to provide a “bug tracker for the news” — a civil, neutral Web space where people can report errors and problems in local media coverage (print, broadcast, Web) and seek to get them corrected. We aim to promote a healthier exchange between working journalists and the public — a positive feedback loop that might benefit both.

Funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s News Challenge, our pilot project in the San Francisco Bay Area will be developed this coming fall and winter (2009-10).

For more information, see our Frequently Asked Questions page, or email the project’s director, Scott Rosenberg, at scottr [at] mediabugs.org.
